there is a domain for www.iphoto.com which is registered but not active (down when i tried), but it is not owned by Apple.

I know Ulead has a product called "iPhoto Express" (Win only).

I for one would be completely surprised if we did not see a photo tool from Apple before the end of this year. Two reasons:

1.) Digital cameras fit into the digital lifestyle push that Apple's making.
2.) Apple's investment in Ofoto.com. Why invest is such a product if you're not going to integrate it with your own? Hell, Microsoft is integrating Ofoto into XP and they didn't even make an investment.

Macosx has support for grabbing images off a few different devices(smartmedia, sony etc) i bet iphoto will ship with something like that as well
