I'm not sure if this should be here or in Networking, so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I have Azureus for my MacBook, and I'm getting a NAT problem. I have an Open Network iConnectAccess621 modem, plugged into the WAN port of my D-Link DL-524 wireless router. My Windows desktop is plugged into the first port of the router, and my MacBook runs wirelessly.

I tried to fix the problem by port forwarding from my router, and this didn't work. My mate's an IT guy, and he said I only need to port forward from my modem. So I tried to do this (as described on portforward.com) and this didn't work either. After a couple of frustrating hours with no progress made, I thought I'd turn to you guys. So... any suggestions?

Azureus did not work properly until I finally threw out my D-Link piece of **** (I had the DI-624 wireless router).

Transfer rates suddenly increased by 10x, and I got no more errors.

Don't waste your time futzing with firewall and port forwarding settings on the D-Link. It doesn't work.

Get a Netgear or a Linksys instead.
