i bought a lacie 500 gig a few weeks ago and it seemed ok , i was backing up regularly and still am , it happily copies from the mac to the lacie

the weird thing is , it won't let me drag from the backup to my mac

i've tried repairing permissions , updating my username , everything i can think of

it keeps coming up with this white circle with a line through it whenever i drag files either from it to the desktop or inside the lacie - saying i don't have sufficient permissions

any ideas what i should do ??

Does it copy if you choose to temporarily ignore permissions on the volume?
