Hi all,

Just installed Jaguar on my daughter's G3 Wallstreet laptop so we can set it up wirelessly. Anyway, upon restart, I got a flashing icon that was a circle with a slash through it. What does this mean? It'll boot into OS 9 without a hitch, but when I go to the Startup Disk control panel, it freezes every time. I've run Disk Utility, repaired permissions (when starting up from the CD), any ideas?

PS I believe the disk to be fine, as it was pulled from my TiBook and was working fine at the time.

I have the same problem but ONLY when I try to start up from a CD. Otherwise, start up is normal. But, hold down C, or restart from the OS X CD and bam, kernal panic. Of course, that isn't listed in that article I'll have to take my baby in soon.
