I could be mistaken, but I'm not sure if Rev-O has 3GB. He's answering your question (as indeed, there are people who have 3GB in their MBPs)

Yes I have 3gb of ram
It seems to be working fine, but honestly I have done nothing to tax my MBP. I've been copying over iPhoto libraries, iTunes libraries, loading on some of my games, etc etc etc. I got the 3gb because I knew at some point I would want it and figured I might as well get it while I was ordering. All I've been doing is run of the mill Mac stuff that, other than games needing the video card, would probably work just the same on a MacBook. Except for the smaller screen and al the fancy MBP bells & whistles.
I really think I would be getting by just fine with 2gb for the most part.

3G here in my Mac Book Pro C2D. I ordered it that way from Apple. I occasionally use PhotoShop and frequently use Aperture and was using iPhoto. i use QuarkExpress, Word and others. You can never have enough memory.
