Has anybody here used this? It's supposed to set user specified View Options - for those who don't know.

Reading the Info file, I got scared away. It sounds to me like if you put the thing into your Control Panels folder and restart, every window would be changed globally to whatever the settings are that you've identified. I hope that's wrong.

What I want it for is to define a default for View settings that every new window will become, but still retain the option to reset any window to other views. I need some reassurance from a user that I will not mess up all of my already set windows if I install this thing.
