hi, there:

I wold appreciate your time and dvice. I met a strange problem. I recently want to replace my old hard drive with new seagate 2.1g hard drive. However, when I try to install the OS 8 on the new one, it hangs at about 2/3 when "closing files...". I have exchange the hard drive once, but I still could not install the operating system successfully. Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

To solve your problem, some more information is needed. First off, is the drive really 2.1 gigs? That seems small for a new drive. Second, is is supported by the Mac OS? That is, did you initialize it with a Mac disk utility? Is it your only disk or is it secondary? Did you start up from the CD?
