Sorry, I did a search but I couldn't find anything.

Just wondering if that Nike running add-on for the Nano would connect to the Mini. My wife has her Green Mini already but would like this gadget, do I have to buy her a new iPod for it to work? She would not use it for much else and would be pretty cool if it would work with what she has.

Thanks

for now it only works with the iPod Nano. No other iPod works with the Nike+ -only the Nano.

For running you really want an iPod with flash memory instead of a hard drive (iPod Mini) anyway.

the reason it doesnt works is software? I presume that if you plugged the Nike + into a mini it woudl either read with an error or it would just not load.. correct?

As my MINI just bit the dust - is it worth waiting for a possible next gen nano?

The nanos were updated fairly recently, so it wouldn't make sense to wait. You can pick up a refurbished 2GB nano with a warranty for $99 from Apple. The reason the Mini wouldn't work with the Nike+ program is due to lack of software support...but also you wouldn't want to run with a hard drive based player...it would have bit the dust even earlier.
