Anyway to fool an app into thinking I am running Mac OS X 10.4.9 and not 10.4.10? There is a programming error in the code and it thinks .9 > .10

I just want to change it for the install and I will change it back when done, any ideas where to look?

I am also willing to take any ramifications of this hack so let me know if this can be done!!!

It seems that the system is already fooling apps into thinking that the version is 10.4.9. At least if you check it via Gestalt(), you get 0x1049 as the version. Dunno why they couldn't have just made it 0x104A or something...

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Some applications do think that the system version is 10.4.1 as opposed to 10.4.10.

One possibility is /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist
