So my dad and I are setting up his pop mail account and he is getting all his spam on his iphone. We st up my .mac account and i didnt get any spam. Is there a way to get spam not to come to the iphone?

If spam comes to your email address, it'll end up on the iPhone.

If the iPhone email app doesn't have junk mail training capabilities, you'll have to find an email host that will filter for you. Ditto to what Cadaver says too.

gmail has excellent spam filtering, so I suggest you setup a gmail account for your dad.

the gmail filtering doesn't matter . . . everything goes to your iphone . . its a pain in the ass to clean it up

I have to disagree - I have a spam message in my gmail "spam" folder that is NOT showing up when I check my messages on the account on my iphone. I do, however, get all email that I send showing up in my inbox. This used to happen on my old phone too, though... I think it is a "feature" with the gmail POP mail access.

gmail pop only downloads what's in the "inbox" folder, so you're spam filter wouldn't be downloaded anyway

my earthlink account brought up on my iphone is giving me spam and duplicate messages.
