Here's an odd problem that I started having today: If I launch an X11 application on top of OSX, such as AquaEthereal or OpenOffice, the X11 desktop "overwrites" the OSX desktop. I get a gray screen with xterm and whatever other application I opened, and transparency with Aqua is lost. If I kill the X11 process directly using xterm, X11 quits and I'm back to the OSX desktop.

I have no idea what caused this, as this has previously been working fine for some time now.

Thoughts?

Try Command + Option + A, see if that works.

If it does go to X11 > Preferences > Output and uncheck full screen.
Signature depreciated.
