Hi

I am Jumbonium2007's uncle.. Early this morning he was arrested for non payment of child support in the amount of $2110. If any of you were going to be buying something from him from the marketplace lets cease any pending deals until he get's out of jail. It looks like he is going to be doing alot of time. I just wanted to inform everyone. He didn't want to make it like he fell off the face of the earth..

Thanks

George Smith

From what I gather.. they will knock his support down 10 dollars a day for every day he sits in jail.. so something like 210 days.. Ill keep everyone informed.. This is michigan though and they love to screw you over

That'll teach him (hopefully).

Why doesn't he just get a job? You can be damn sure even a retarded kid at McDonalds can make over $10 a day.

Wouldn't that be a bit counterproductive to the goal of getting the money to pay off the child support debt?

Is this not the most unusual thread you've seen in a while? I mean, do you think he told his uncle to give all the details of his arrest and to advertise the fact that he's a deadbeat dad? Very freakin' weird.

And how will he be executing the deals in the marketplace when he's in the slammer?

By the same token, it seems like a way too roundabout way to get out of the deals he has on the marketplace.

Well, we've got the uncle who seems willing to go do other things like go on online forums for him. I was assuming that the uncle might be willing to go ship a few items, seeing as how if he's got Mac stuff to sell, that's got a good chance of chopping off a nice chunk of that $2110.

He's over $2000 dollars behind on child support and you think he's the one screwed over?

Get a job. Support your kid(s). I'm sure they'd rather have dad and the money than have dad sitting in jail.

I didn't think Jumbonium was old enough to have kids. He always struck me as 14.

Damn. $10/day and not working.

In Illinois, I believe child support was 20% of your income. If you didn't have a job, it was $10/month. Maybe it was $10/week, I know it wasn't $10/day. When I was collecting unemployment, I had to pay 20% of it. When I got a job, I had to pay $500/month. That's all past history. I havn't had to pay in over 2 years.

Going on a forum to notify people is one thing. Trying to facilitate sales to strangers not knowing what your nephew did or didn't do is quite another. I don't think its feasible that the uncle can (or should) finish any outstanding sales since he has no knowledge of the sales agreement.

I guess. I suppose I don't really know how much communication with outsiders they're allowed when they're in jail, so maybe it isn't possible for him to tell someone else what to ship and whom to ship it to. Too bad, then, because if he could sell an old Mac for a few hundred bucks, that could be a month less time in jail.

Finding a way to pay at least part of the debt would help both the guy that's stuck in jail and the mother who needs money to raise the kids. But if it's not possible, then it's not. I'm no expert in such things.

Nah, such novelties don't appeal to me anymore. Plus he talked about using scotch tape (yeah, like THAT is good to inhale) which may explain the current situation.

I assume you mean Continental Europe? I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm genuinely interested. In the UK, we don't put spaces in front of question marks anymore. Whilst it's not technically incorrect to do so, use of a punctuation space is a somewhat archaic practice, and one that has largely fallen by the wayside.
