I read somewhere that you can now detach/attach tabs/windows from/to an existing Terminal window, but I can't figure out how you do that without choosing corresponding menu items; i.e., how do you do that via drag-n-drop?

Just drag them off with a little bit of force.

Huh? Force?

But I did find that it's cmd-drag that works! But the interaction is kind of weird...

Sorry wrong conclusion: it's NOT that you have to do cmd-drag. You need to drag a tab DOWN first to detach it, and then move around.
