I've met a drummer who's like that in real life. There's a hole in the acoustic tiles behind the drum riser in the rehearsal room where someone threw a microphone stand at him once.
And I've seen him attempt to beat a brick wall up. Someone had drawn a face on it and it was "looking at him threateningly".
