I just hope it's not too bad when I'm driving up to Manchester on Wednesday. Or when I'm driving back the following Wednesday... Stupid winter travel.

Lotsa snow on the way, but we'll see. Everybody is freaking out like its the frickin end of the world. :/
I don't shovel the stuff, and luckily most of my commute and work is underground, deep in the bowels of the earth.

Actually, the change would be quite refreshing and much appreciated.
I've been associating with complete and total idiots the past few days, hot liquid MAG-MA sure would brighten my day.

Thank you for your concern, I'm quite touched really - as touched as someone could be whilst on an itemized personal vendetta list as "Wanted: dead or deader"...

Thanksgiving was round one (thanks for the napalm attack, btw. Really brightened things up.)
Round two begins next week. The airing of grievances, feats of strength, I have to get the pole outta the gd attic...

I hope it snows, and doesn't stop until the New Year. Unless it really inconveniences you, then I hope it rains flaming frogs infected with lice. 'tis the season.

It's the least I could do after I stole his dog, fed it plastique laced dog food, and dropped him on your doorstep with the hopes of detonating the both of you when you picked him up.

Also, I'm not paying for you to replace your busted intercom. The thing shouldn't have run at the same frequency as your typical household detonator.

A low of mid 40's-50s is still too cold. Isn't that unusual for La Jolla?

Naw, it’s about right. This is as cold as it gets. Plus, there’s just enough humidity and just enough lack of wind that it usually feels warmer than it usually is – back home I would be freezing in 55° weather, but here I can walk outside with a short-sleeve shirt and shorts in 55° weather.

oh stupid roads and your stupid other cars. The snow wasn't that bad, yet I was stuck in non-moving traffic for about 4 hours, in order to drive <10 miles.

We never get really huge snowfalls or any ice storms here... the temperature is now hovering around 32F / 0C and will get colder maybe in a month. Weather as such is never much of an issue here, but there's this other thing...

That's not a repost of erik's pic, though it too shows two people and the sea, or would if I had some of that C.S.I. image extraction software. Taken at around 4 PM on an afternoon stroll to the seafront. The price we pay for endless, sunny, warm summer nights. Though prices for flights to Australia seem competitive. Hmm.

Well Boston got nearly a foot and the commute home reportedly was horrendous for many folks. I read news stories that it took well over 5 hours for some people to get home (normally a 30 - 40 minute commute).

luckily I take the subway and I didn't have to sit in traffic for all that time.

It's nice to see the snow fall again, and shoveling wasn't too bad - it helps that I have a 4 wheel drive truck. I don't need to clear out too much just drive over the snow bank

Another storm is bearing down on the northeast this sunday but now they're saying it will just be a wet/slushy mess since the temps will be above 32 - bummers man.

With the mix of snow/sleet the cape and islands got spared. I was out in Chatham thru to Falmouth and everything was easy. Big plus was stopping at a toystore to do some Xmas shopping. Inside there were more workers than buyers. Walked right up, grabbed a Nintendo DS and a few games and out in minutes.

When living in Boston a storm hit just before the rush home. I spent almost two hourscoming from Cambridge on the Longfellow bridge. It was just a parking lot. I had a case of Bud cans in the trunk, but thought about what everyone would think if I popped the trunk and grabbed a few. After awhile I said "F*** it" and grabbed a rack. People honked and at first I thought they were pissed til I turned around and saw arms out the window pleading for some liquid refreshment. Xmas came early for them that night.

Note to self, don't offer to tow someone out of a snow bank with my truck.

walking down comm ave to the boston commons while it was snowing *free
hearing people complain about how they're freezing their butts off *annoying but free
helping 3 people get their cars unstuck *free
having to wait 25 minutes to get a T so that I didn't have to walk back *$1.70
watching idiots run around and diving into the snow in just their boxers *priceless
