Is it now possible to add dates and events to the iTouch calendar function, by using the iTouch screen on the go, rather than having to be dependent upon an outside source or computer to synch calendar changes to the iTouch? I have been waiting for this to be addressed before I purchase one.

yes this was made possible through a software update
