Ok I have a 3rd Gen 15GB ipod (mono-chrome screen) and it beeps... a lot. It beeps when it starts up and when I copy music to it. It's a very shrill "digital" sounding beep. I have another 15GB 3rd gen ipod and I have never heard it make a noise like this at all. I've checked google and I haven't been able to find anything close to this.
The only thing similar is I have found that some Hard drives beep when they are failing. Could this be the case? Obviously the warranty is looong expired on this ipod so I can't call apple to confirm.
Anyone else have a similar situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
