Hi

It seems the quickest way to get my new MacPro running is to copy the Apps folder from my new-ish Macbook when prompted to. Is there any reason not to do this? Will the 'installation' be exactly the same as if I'd used the discs?

Also, will the supporting files come too? Eg. The reference/media files which apps like Logic Studio deposit outside the Apps folder? Won't these sort of things be MIA?

Thanks

Yes, external resources will be missing. You should use Migration Assistant in the /Applications/Utilities folder, which can bring along all the settings and support files.
