Okay, I just bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with the Infinity sound system, and the first bit I'm tackling is the sub. I will say, though, that for my tastes, the stock system isn't all that bad -- but I want a more robust low end.

That said, my plan is jump off the existing 2 ohm HU into my Profile AP1000M 500w 2 ohm amp, and I'm really liking the specs on the Rockford Fosgate T110D2 (http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...5T110D2&tp=111).

Will this setup work?

Okay, I think I need to get a dual coil at 4 ohm, wired parallel -- right? So it'd be this:

When to wire a DVC sub in series, you add the impedance, so 4+4 = 8ohms. When you wire in parallel, you cut the impedance in half, so a 4ohm DVC sub would be seen as a 2ohm load, as you suggested.

Perhaps you'd be better off asking this in a car stereo forum?

Perhaps you should read the post before yours and see it was already answered?
