When I add info to the address book, sometimes the name field is correct, sometimes it is not. Is there a standard format that contacts in an email are supposed to declare themselves, or is this random attempts by addressbook to make sense of it all? Thanks!

Can you elaborate? I find the "firstname lastname" format works for me.

Sorry - when I get an email from someone I haven't got in my addressbook, I ctrlclick the address in mail, and select 'add to addressbook'. Sometimes addressbook gets the first name last name thing correct, and sometimes it doesn't. In particular, one company I deal with, they always end up with first name mapping to first name, last name to middle name, and company name mapping to last name.
Is this just the way the cookie crumbles, or is their email server set up wrong?
Thanks!
