Which mini display port adapter to order for mbp ?

I'm ordering a new mbp and a bit unsure which display adapter to order along with it for a Dell Monitor I've got no idea really about monitor connections... It mentions DVI and VGA in the tech specs on the Dell site and Apple has mini display port adapter for both DVI and VGA . Also a little stunned i've to shell out 20 quid on top of 2 grand in order to use an external monitor.

Get the Mini Display Port to DVI adapter.

VGA would work with that display too, but quality-wise DVI is the better choice.
