I'm sure everyone here will join me in congratulating Lewis on becoming the youngest bloke ever to win a GP championship.
Nice one Lewis!

yeah, good for him. I wish him much success.
MotoGP is still the superior sport naturally, but he deserves it. And the sport really needs something interesting nowadays

I agree with both of these
It's the first time I've watched a whole F1 race for ages.

Fantastic. It was a bit weird cause the TV didn't shown clearly Lewis overtaking Timo's Toyota but then once they were approaching the checkered flag you were able to see Timo's slicks (tyres) so that was it.
The fact that everybody here in Spain hates Lewis and McLaren with a passion, made it even better…
A pity about DC ending his F1 career in such fashion, he didn't deserve that.

Well done to Lewis, and a big Nelson style ha-ha to Ferrari, who thought they had won when Massa finished first, then realised they hadn't because LH passed Glock.
|
It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Is the drivers championship more significant than the constructors? Or even on equal footing?

Hum, still works for me, albeit given AOL Pictures service is going to close on December, 31 I better look for another service where to host it.
Anyhow, I had posted it on the GUI forum, here you go: link
Driver title vs. Constructors title. I guess it has to be with the perspective. The Drivers championship is indeed more significant than the Constructors Championship if you mean the repercussion it gets in the media and the F1 world. It is like a huge instant reward. While the Constructors title seems to be more a history thing… the years roll by and then a given Team has this number of titles and you can name it as the most successful team on F1 history… stuff like that.
To draw a vague parallelism is the opposite from winning the NBA Championship or the MVP, if you had to choose you "want" the NBA Championship, not the MVP. So the thing is to get both.
A diehard Ferrari fan that doesn't hate Lewis?, now that's rare, I know about diehard Ferrari fans that just refuse to follow F1 until LH leaves.
I got this on the mail and I guess is worth a mention:
A fan who placed a £100 bet over a decade ago has won £ 125,000 after Lewis Hamilton has won the Formula 1 championship on Sunday. The unnamed punter placed the bet at Ladbrokes after seeing a 13-year-old Hamilton go-karting
Now that's a huge victory !!!

An explanation of good taste…
To commemorate Lewis Hamilton's world championship victory in Brazil on
Sunday, the entrance to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes headquarters in
Woking has received its own unique makeover.
The McLaren Technology Centre's visually striking 10m-long neon-white
entry sign, witnessed by thousands of passing motorists each day, has
been lit in McLaren's trademark Rocket Red victory livery and decorated
with a personalised congratulatory message to celebrate the success of the
team's new world champion.

I'm a diehard Ferrari hater (still because of Michael Schumacher and his fans) and therefor I think it's great that LH won!
But I was also laughing when Vettel overtook Hamilton!
