Hello,

I just replaced my glossy screen on the MBP with Matte screen. Everything went fine except I have this issue now. I double checked every connection and they all seem fine. The boot up screen looks fine, so I know that the screen is not defective.

Anyidea?

Thanks in advance for help.

Where did you get this panel? It doesn't look like it's being recognized correctly by your machine, so it may not compatible.

You've got a bad panel.
Are you absolutely sure you didn't rough handle the controller board on the rear of the panel? What is the condition of the LVDS cable? Seated completely?

As an Apple Certified Tech, I've done lots of MBP screen replacements and unfortunately that is a classic symptom of a bad panel.

If it's under warranty still, I've found they often do (but judging by other's experiences, they don't always.) When I had my very first PowerBook G4, it had 1 dead pixel. I took it in and the Apple Genius said that it's not their policy, but he would send it in anyway. I got my laptop back with a brand new display with zero dead pixels.
