Last night was a pretty good outing, for me at least, I had 17 Emergency Air Drops... 8 more and I can switch to something else. I'm trying to unlock all the kill streak emblems.

I bounced around a lot. TDM on Ground War is really tricky since at least 1/3 of the kids all seem to use lightweight classes. I did, however, unlock extended mags for the M1014 at the second to last match of the night. 6 semi-auto rounds equals BAD-ASS!

Even more über-pwnage for sek.
I must have sucked, because it took forever to get through 70. That or I spent half the night looking for games.

A lot of these guys commit to their gameplan- only throwing knives. It makes sense that there would be times when they run into deathstreaks. You essentially playing with a hand tied behind your back.

Video game night has come once again for Fatty. I'll be playing TP until people sign on MW2.
Also, I'm seeing a disturbing trend with how reliant on my current class I am. Even with the ACR and SP, I find myself lost without the M1014 as my secondary. Last night I finished off ACR Mastery by getting silenced ACOG kills, but found myself doing waaaay worse than I planned on. I hate hate hate the ACOG scope, and the fact you need to use it on the sniper rifles to attaint their mastery really grinds my gears.
Riding high right now with how well I've been doing (K/D still climbing, at 1.24* right now) but I'm at lvl 64 currently and not looking forward to the first 30 ranks of Prestige 2.
*I'd imagine I'm over a 2.0 K/D for the last month, seems once you get over 10K kills it really takes a decent amount of really good games to get it to shift. A few months back I was amazed at the tales in this thread of consistent 25-5 type matches, but now I'm right there most of the time. In contrast my best K/D in Halo 2 was .98 and Halo 3 was 1.12.

I'm going to play, but each night the thought, "why don't I play something else" grows stronger, thanks to the incessant (it's every game now, right) glitching and pain in the ass matchmaking.
I was running merc tdm when I got home from work last night, and I put on some of my best games in some time. An 18-2 on Karachi with just a M4 with SP- no extra ammo, either. My best killstreak available was the Predator Missile.

Since I got into the action over a month after everyone else, I probably won't be done with MW2 for a good while, but I'm going to download the demo of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 tonight (if my cable is back up - last night I just played NBA2K10 offline). Anyone else interested in BC2? I've heard some good things so far.

I'll probably play MW2 multiplayer less, in a couple more weeks. I want to start playing Assassin's Creed II. As well I want to finish off a few more of the Special Ops missions and try the single-player on Veteran. I don't know if I'll finish the SP on Veteran, though.
As well, I want to save a few Prestige levels for the new maps. Then again, unlike some MW2 players, I've got lots of Prestige levels left.

It's all ugly icons on prestiges 4-8 (7 is tolerable). Which makes me think I've all but committed to going all the way, however long it takes.

I have no plans on stopping anytime soon, killing people will never get old for me. It'd be nice to have some new places to kill people in, though.
Also there aren't really any games I'm looking forward to.

Yeah, I'm waiting for BS2, I played through the original twice back to back, here's hoping this one is as creepy and engaging. Between that and Twilight Princess, which I'll want to explore fully much like Fallout 3, I'll have my single player fix.
Besides that my only goal is to keep playing MW2, unlike most of you here I never got on board the CoD multiplayer train until now. New maps would freshen up the gameplay a bit, but I'm still to gleeful when I get more than 20 kills in a game to stop anytime soon.

I'd be happy with 3 good maps, rather than 4 mediocre ones.

I didn't even finish the first Bioshock. I don't really enjoy single player joints anymore. I think the last one I enjoyed was Ratchet & Clank (PS2).

I'm paranoid they're gonna shove another small map on there, so that'll mean we essentially get two maps.

I don't care what we get, as long as all of them are of better quality than Rust and The Quarry (even though Quarry is growing on me). Regardless, I'm really pumped to see the new maps.

I'm ok with Quarry, but like Wasteland and Derailed, it's one of those maps you don't always want to deal with.

Granted I don't play as much as you all, but I have NEVER played a game on Rust. It has never come up for me in any MP game. Is this because I only play sabatoge?

I was discussing with a buddy last night the first week or two, I didn't see it, saw it regularly for two months, and now the past two or three weeks haven't played it, though I have quit out of a few lobbies where it came up while I was going solo.

Sek & I played a game on rust last night. It's really too small, for any amount of players. I doubt we'll see anything that small in a map pack.

That map seems to come up the least in TDM (not that it's a bad thing that it comes up the least). I know when I first started, I heard people talking about Rust, but I'd never seen it. It took about 2 weeks for Rust to finally come up as a map in TDM for me, and then I think the host died or something before the map started.

They need to release more maps like Terminal. (Which has not appeared once the last 4 nights I've played.) Lately it seems like Estate and Afgan pop up after every two matches.

I get tired of Afghan, mostly because I don't have very good game on it.
I'd like something like a bigger Broadcast from COD4.

COD4 players, any maps you'd like to see come to MW2 (and would work well). I think Pipeline meets both counts.

Most of those are way too small (Not that I don't like them). Ambush sounds doable.
Also, Bloc? That was damn near the worst map in the game.

Seemed like you couldn't last 5 seconds sniping before some dude with knifed you in the back. And that was before knifing and sneaking around was as easy as in MW2.

Huh, I don't really recall that happening a lot. Of course, I used a road less traveled, standing in the middle area in the tall grass off to one side.

We better not.
I hate Rust because it reminds me I should have a Danger Close class with some explosive weapons on the ready, since that's the only way I end up dying on that godforsaken map.

I'm hoping for a 4 map pack, 1 smallish map, 1 Throwback COD4

I know it is a different dev, but Teryarch's map packs were awesome for WaW. Of course they had Nazi Zombie maps in them, but some of the best maps in the whole game were the additional maps.

i wouldn't mind a mix of development, with a WaW map overgrown and destroyed over the 65+ years between then and now

Chinatown in CoD4 was Carantan in CoD2. Since they already re-did Brecourt (CoD2) to Wasteland (MW2) I don't think that they'd re-do Chinatown. I'd like new maps, but if they did re-do one map from CoD4 then Crash would be my choice.
Of course, I'd prefer no glitches, hacks or bullsh1t to new maps, but there's no way to guarantee that.
I'm slowly but surely getting the Barrett challenges. Only 20 more kills and I'll have finished everything. 20,000 XP IIRC. Don't think that I'll do the same on the Intervention. I haven't done any AR challenges and I'm over level 30, so hopefully this prestige will go faster towards the end.
I've come to the conclusion that (unless playing with my clan and having good comms) I cannot sit still. Running around with a crazy commando class I can easily get 20 kills a game in std TDM. Trouble is, I die about 10 to 15 times. Getting decent killstreaks is also difficult. C'est la vie.

I don't like how in Derailed and Wasteland the fight occurs at one or two spots and then the rest of the map is empty.

That's where Invasion did it right. It's a pretty big map, but firefights (not one-sided) can occur everywhere.

The MW2 haters bitch it has "too many corners and is a "campers paradise".
sek, how far are you into the 1014 Vet challenges? Just wondering how long til I see the shiny emblem on your callsign.
When I get back to Ninja Pro I think I might spend a game shadowing you with my SPAS, just to see how its done.

I think I have ~500 kills with it so far, well more than 500 since I unlocked the first callsign last night. I'm torn since I'd really like to get 1000 kills and the emblem, but I'm at 67 right now, dunno if I'll have the time. Perhaps I'll stave off prestiging until I finish the M1014 challenges, well, probably not the headshot challenges.
I like Invasion because it always has a nice mix of patrolling, camping, and long distance AR battles. I find it to be a very balanced map...plus I usually pwn with the shotty around the video store area.
