It's official, Chris Mathews, MSNBC and the Southern Poverty Law Center just linked Joe Stack by inference to the Patriot Movement and his tax issues. Also by inference and name to Timothy McVeigh and militias. MSNBC is pointing fingers at the Tea Party Movement.

He was clearly unhappy with his government in general, Republican and Democrat, hence "elections don't matter". Whether he was mostly left or mostly right it doesn't matter - neither political leaning has any sort of monopoly on resorting to violence.

FBI have requested that the host of the suicide note remove it. They've done so.

He is neither a conservative nor liberal.
He just follows the tea party manifesto.
Anti-tax, anti-government, anti-corporate-bailout.

Ummm... Most people against bailouts over here are libs. Something to do with poor taxpayers funding the useless, rich "fat cats".
Is this not how it works over there? Especially when the guy keeps banging on about rich corporations?

It's a producer skill, Bess... Take a highly complex system and reduce it to simplicity. I've had that much practice I can do it with anything. Even women!

OK. Interesting thing. Just seen some pics.
Is it not a little strange how an itty bitty place crashing into a small office building makes more of a mess than a big ass plane crashing into a five-sided government building?

He hit the ground/wall in front. The spray of fuel and debris on fire hit the building and caused the broad damage on the facade of the building. My guess, this is why so few were killed inside.

Now let's run your question through a reality filter and see what we come out with:
*calculating.....*
*ding!* finished.
Is it not a little strange how an itty bitty place crashing into an ordinary office building makes way less of a mess (13 people injured in the building, 1 killed on the plane) than a big ass plane crashing into one of the most heavily fortified government buildings in the world with hellathick reinforced concrete walls (125 people killed in the building and 64 killed on the plane)?
And of course the answer: Nope, not the slightest bit strange.

You'd think a big-ass plane flown into a heavily fortified building would at least create as much surrounding debris as an itty bitty place flown into a normal building, wouldn't you? You know, the unyielding fortification making the debris bounce off the building and back onto the surrounding area and all that.
Keep payin' yer taxes, Crash.

I'm sure in the Doofiverse it wasn't actually a plane that crashed into the IRS building. It was a missle fired by the CIA. It's all part of a plot by Earth Emperor Barry as phase one of garnering sympathy for the IRS so that he can begin the takeover of Monaco's tax-shelter status. The real Joe Stack and his airplane are being held in a cave in New Mexico along with the 9/11 jets and passengers.
I should note that I ran the reality filter on earth in the known universe, not the Doofiverse, so that probably explains the differing results.

Stack's politics were Stack-centric. He felt he was being persecuted -personally- by the IRS. He wasn't part of any sort of organized anything-read his rant! He was "needy," indeed. He was also pretty much cracked. How would burning down his house "teach anyone a lesson?" How would any of that do anything for him at all? It was simple: he lost it and decided he'd get some revenge on the IRS by flying his plane into one of their offices.
For the record, the main regional office of the IRS is near the intersection of I-35 and US 71, about 12 air miles south of the building he flew into. He may have had dealings with the investigation/enforcement offices in his target building (funny how making mistakes on your taxes when you make a lot of money gets people asking you questions), which would be one way he became aware of the offices there. Also it's interesting that he flew into the IRS instead of an FBI field office in the building next door, which would have been a more interesting political statement.
Stack was a whack job in my opinion. A dangerous one because he wasn't being looked after. Nobody noticed when he tipped over the edge, and that cost at least one innocent person his life, plus the two critically burned people currently hospitalized because of his plane crash.

Seems the auto-url thingy doesn't like URLs which end in a close bracket. Hopefully fixed.

What is this "heavily fortified" thing? The Pentagon is just a building. And an OLD building at that, so a little heavier than most. But it isn't a fort -- it's just shaped like one. It wasn't designed to withstand any kind of blast, not originally at least.

The implications of media bias when covering such stories is not simple. The MSM liberals have been mis-characterizing this for the last 30 hours. Care to compare opinion as fact coverage vs actual facts brought to light?

Pilot error if I've ever seen it, from the way he managed his home fire policy through his politics, to his marriage. (only because I'm not sure if he was any good at the keyboard)
The tragedy IMO is the good man that lost his life not tryin' to fly anything that I know of; Vernon Hunter.

Wow. Nice link there. Notice how the article repeatedly uses the word "fly"...
Urban slang for cool, hot or in style - an obvious attempt to make the reader subconsciously associate the attack with African Americans.
