Sure, my terminology wasn't spot on, so sue me. It's still really early in playing, but I'd be hard-pressed to ever get a K/D that high in this game. Especially with us playing BTB, which has the occasional Objective game.
Domination is his K/D in TS versus me. 1.46 vs 1.88, although I still double him up in Killing Sprees.

It's worth noting that in terms of raw kills, driving the warthog is 1 kill shy of being tied for my fifth best weapon.
Also, while I'm really happy they added wheelman sprees, I feel like yet another medal is needed for someone who gets concurrent wheelman and splatter sprees (Which I did with kavvika yesterday)

Speaking of weapons, the Pistol in now firmly my #4 weapon, far ahead of that awful AR. During a few matches of Slayer DMRs on smaller maps I found that Pistol beats DMRs in close battles thanks to its much faster rate of fire. The melee is tricky though, as you spin the Pistol to punch, it takes a decent amount of time to reset the weapon and start shooting again.

That's actually a good idea, although they have added a lot of medals (which I'm a fan of for some reason, probably the same reason I like achivements even though they are meaningless)

I'll be more impressed if both these things hold true for us a month down the line.

So what's #3? (I assume Sniper is #1 and DMR is #2.)

Good god...melee is my #1, accounting for 31% of my kills.
1. Melee
2. DMR
3. Sniper Rifle
4. Magnum
5. Plasma Grenade
6. Frag Grenade
7. Needler Rifle
8. Energy Sword
9. Shotgun
10. Plasma Repeater
That's not a huge surprise to me, but the DMR isn't even that close (25%).

Breakdown by map is priceless. Currently 2-6 on Boardwalk.
BTW, it really sucks that Forgeworld counts as one gigantic map. Now you'll never know how you do on the variants. (11-2 overall!)

The Forge maps seem kind of generic at first glance, but they've actually become some of my favorites.
The maps in general have nothing on MW2 though. They don't really have personality, if that makes sense.

Oh, since its been five minutes since I've bitched, some dude with a DMR can wreck a banshee with ease. That's awful.

I bet that gets adjusted in this update coming at the beginning of the month, I hope they release a list of all the balancing fixes

I don't see that within the realm os possibilities, but here's to hoping.
So, has anyone noticed that the amount of blood coming off a spartan in the Game Details banner varies by how much of a beatdown the final score is?

That is absolute bullsh*t , the k/d and stats I don't care about but that makes the heatmaps for a large portion of my games trash, they NEED to fix that

Yes, Forgeworld variants make a disproportionately large part of the map rotation.
Since it's considered a single level i think you're ****ed, Bogues.

Close but no cigar.
DMR is #1 - 36% +85
Sniper is #2 - 21% +51
Melee is #3 - 10% -10
Pistol is #4 - 7% +24
So overall I am more deadly with my top weapons than my opponents, except for melee, which has me getting beaten down more often than I beat others down. Which makes sense due to my flaky grasp of the new melee controls.

I take it you don't use vehicles much? I'll have to post mine when I get a chance, but I'm sure there is a couple vehicles in the list.

Compared to 3 virtually none of the maps have vehicles.

To be fair, that map was designed circa 2001 for the original Halo.
Of course I'm not making excuses why a brand new next-gen game uses the same bland maps from a decade ago...

Yeah, any defense is negated by the fact that they recreated it for the game. They improved it with Valhalla and then undid that progress here.

I have only played BTB twice (and got walloped both times), so I have yet to return. Did love the big maps though.

Vice Versa, I guess I have to try something other then BTB.
I tried Invasion, but I'm not sure if I like it. I tried Rumble pit, 2 people ended the game above 20, the rest below 10 (I was in the below 10). I'll have to check out the 4 vs 4 and the Firefight.

Yeah Leonard, you should check out firefight. Rocket fight with jet packs seems to be the preferred game type at MacNN.
Has anyone even started the campaign besides Bogues? My brother and I finished it on Legendary (Co-Op) and I've gone through the first 3 missions on Legendary(Solo).

I started the game and got past chapter one on Heroic. The game can be quite a pain in the ass when all you can rely on is friendly AI. A competent Warthog Gunner would make all the difference.

Just wait until you get to the mission where you're paired with Kat. The bitch can't drive a Warthog or use a turret to safe her life.

I was tempted to do the campaign on normal, and follow that up with a playthrough on legendary, until I realised that I've completed every Halo on Heroic and never gone back to play it Legendary (never found the time). So I'll probably do one playthrough... normal or heroic?

How Is the legendary solo run? I'm on the fence about starting it, I had one or two spots on heroic solo that were pretty frustrating
Side note: fantastic ending to the campaign, It's worth playing through just for the last two missions and the flying mission

Yes, according to Red vs Blue there are alot of animals in Halo:
When the jeep first arrived as a shipment from Red Command, the Reds saw it as a death machine that they could use to kill the Blues. Sarge decided to call it the "Warthog" because "M12 LRV is too hard to say in conversation." Also, Sarge notices the "tusks" on the front of the vehicle, also supporting the name "Warthog." The Reds then proceeded to argue over whether they should call it the Warthog or Puma. He also proposed other names like the Walrus, Bigfoot, Phoenix, Unicorn, Sasquach, or Chupacabra (Chupathingy).

When you have the full team it's pretty easy. I just sit back and let them do most of the work. The missions where the team is split up can be frustrating. Like the mission with with Kat.
