I have a Mac mini with both Plex and Boxee, and at least 50 movies and 65 TV shows in my Movies folder. With the advent of AirPlay; the upcoming ATVFlash; and possibility of iOS apps for Apple TV, would there be any advantages to purchasing an Apple TV?

AppleTV - price and simplicity, but limited
Mac Mini - functionality at a higher price

I have a mac mini right now with HDMI port. Might go with the appleTV soon.

How big of tv is your mini on? I put mine on a 50 inch rear projection, not bad but not as good as a monitor. So use my atv1 to stream to.
