Pfff, click on the Calendar, it was last updated it in 2007.
They didn't even feel the need to put the Rapture on it.

It's been updated today but there's no information on there about the prediction and its failure. The more I think about it, it's just a sad situation. Not really for Camping but for his pathetically gullible followers who thought he was a prophet.
The San Francisco Chronicle has tracked down the failed prophet of the Saturday doomsday prediction, Harold Camping, and found him subdued and somewhat "flabbergasted." Ya think?
He answered his door in the early evening, hours after the world was supposed to face Judgment Day with Christian believers airlifted to Heaven. Alameda, Calif., may be heavenly but there's no pearly gate there. It has been a really tough weekend," said Harold Camping, the 89-year-old fundamentalist radio preacher who convinced hundreds of his followers that the rapture would occur on Saturday at 6 p.m. He told the paper he was engaged in prayer and consultations and expected to be back to his radio network office Monday to face the music -- and it's not harps. He told the Chronicle: I'm looking for answers. But now I have nothing else to say. I'll be back to work Monday and will say more then."
Ed Stetzer, president of Lifeway Research, tweeted some very specific expectations: Harold Camping, pls update www.family.radio.com w/your repentance statement & instructions to your now-broke followers. At National Public Radio, Barbara Bradley Hagerty called some Camping followers on the sobering morning after the non-apocalypse.... most didn't answer the phone. Those who did wouldn't talk on the record. But one man, his voice quavering, said he was still holding out hope that they were one day off. Another believer asserted that their prayers worked: God delayed judgment so that more people could be saved, but the end is "imminent."
But Hagerty also learned from a board member of Camping's Family Radio that he hoped they would somehow return the funds donated by believers who wanted to get out the May 21st word. But he offered no guarantees, just a hope that God would be merciful. God may be merciful but the public? Maybe not so much. Would you believe anything Camping says now? Did you before? ( Link)

That might have worked last year—but seriously, Grímsvötn is only nine letters, and not hard to say at all. (It’s said roughly like ‘greems-vuh-dn’)
Edit: Page 3? Huh, where did that come from?!

Grímsvötn is an excellent name for a volcano. To an English speaker, it suggests a translation of Grim Mountain, recently imported from Mordor.

(In actual fact, it just means Grímur’s Waters/Lakes, whoever the hell Grímur might have been at some point in history …)

Camping is not completely defeated yet. He's saying he was still correct about May 21st but that the rapturing was only on an invisible spiritual level. And he says that the absolute real end is still coming October 21st.

I wonder how much money those rapture oriented companies like the ones that offer to take care of your pets or send a letter to a loved one post-rapture made recently? These companies smell like complete scams only what they do is perfectly legal. It's brilliant.

The end can't be in Oct. The Temple hasn't been rebuilt.

Obviously Camping has a substantially different eschatological vision in mind versus regular Christian tribulationists.

EOTW – Tacoma Atheists
Most of the predictions involve one or more of the following:
The second coming of Jesus Christ.
The war of Armageddon (a massive battle in Israel).
The arrival of the Antichrist.
The Tribulation, a seven-year glee-fest of suffering and death.
The Rapture, when Christians who have been born again will finally go away.
Or, some other horrendous natural disaster.
It is impossible not to notice that all of the following predictions have failed. Predictions being made today about the future will also fail.
Can not vouch for the veracity of information in this link.

What I find funny is that those making the predictions frequently predict the end during their own lifetime. They are filled with such self-importance that such an amazing event would have to happen while they are alive. I mean seriously... how else can they explain their awesomeness?

My personal favorite:
1284: Innocent? Not so much. Pope Innocent III computes this date by adding 666 years onto the date the Islam was founded.

A "common era" which just happens to coincide with the BC/AD reference point but is constructed in such a way so militant atheists donkeyorifices don't have to reference the religion that their western societies are hewn out of... ...nope, don't recognise that.

It's not logically possible for Christ to have been born Before Christ was born. Chalk it up to calendar problems over the years.
Why has this conversation taken on the pedantry of a German tax office all of a sudden?

So do you normally refer to the current year as 2018 AD? If not, then why the fuss about not going with the flow, BCE, etc.
Why has this conversation taken on the pedantry of a German tax office all of a sudden?
It's fun for me. Also, I find people who practice a sort of selective counter-culture in a way I perceive to be attention-whorish to be annoying. Just a pet peeve.

So what's this selective counter-culture you're talking about? And which culture is it counter to? And at which high school did we sign up to said culture as a whole?

You mean Jews.
Because, you know, the "common era" is a compromise where minimal change (adding an "E" to the "BC") results in a tip of the hat to a shared cultural history, while acknowledging that there is a rather longish cultural history that predates it.
Unless, of course, you don't recogniserespect Judaism as a basis of our Western society.
