After installing Silverlight on my mid-2009 MacBook Pro, and open a movie in Netflex, it tells me that I must install Silverlight. I've restarted the computer after the install, it doesn't seem to find the application.

Any suggestions?

I downloaded it, unzipped it, and it installed. It's in my applications folder. It just doesn't work.

Did you download it directly from the Microsoft site?

Also, the relevant part of Silverlight is not an application; it's a video Plug-in that should reside in /Library/QuickTime, IIRC.

When I went to Netflex, I tried to open a movie, and I got a message telling me that I needed to download and install Silverlight. I followed the link and got the DMG file, opened and went through the install process.

Can't try Netflix, as it's not available here.

Can you try again, using this website and instructions here:
Get Silverlight | Microsoft Silverlight
(it's the direct and official download from Microsoft)
