I'm trying to restore my 15in Mac Book Pro which has Mountain Lion as the OS. I followed the instructions on restoring from Apple. I erased the disk. Now when I click Restore, it's stuck on "To download and restore Mac OS X, your computer's eligibility will be verified with Apple. It just sits there and spins the gear.

What am I missing?

What are you trying to restore from? A Time Machine backup? Or are you creating a fresh new install of Mavericks?

Make sure you've entered your Apple credentials correctly so Mavericks can be downloaded from the App store.
