To any and all of you under the age of say...
18.

Reply here and post your age! Maybe we can take over this joint and kick Newfactor out (maybe not...)

i was just reading the "Female mac Fans" topic and was wondering how old you people are.

For the record I'm 96/5*42/88+6.42 years old (i was going to do some complex equation but calculator is not that functional...).

Excuse me?
Although that was sort of funny, I did not appreciate that. I was just wondering how old you all were. I was confoosed by PBD saying that he was right next to Cheerios and how he wished that he had a gf and how to put the moves on the ladies...

Oh, btw, PBD, you will learn the moves some time or another. it's all "guess and check".

I'm a crotchety old 20-year-old who's going to rant about something that's been getting on my nerves more and more lately. People use the rarely-used-but-perfectly-acceptable term "fora" a lot to describe the forums here. That's all well and good. HOWEVER, "fora" is the plural of "forum," not a replacement for it. So saying "of this fora" is grammatically incorrect. It's either "of this forum" or "of these fora" or "of these forums." Sorry to be nitpicky, but people are throwing the word around so much lately it's starting to get on my nerves, especially when it's used incorrectly.

Mace... pepper spray... you know, spray it in the eyes or on the skin of someone and it is highly irritant... causes burning and inflammation... etc.

A mace, on the other hand, is a medieval weapon - a ball on a chain, with spikes on the ball, which one weilded by holding a wooden (generally) handle and thrashing it around...

It's nice to see the threads are going in a direction other than NFN.

19

el matteo(sp?) I was thinking the same thing. I personally have a problem with the word "fora" but when used correctly I don't bring it up (after all, it is correct English, I just choose not to use it). In this case, it was incorrect and I wanted to say something.

This reminds me of my old days on AOL (1993 or so) when every time someone new would come into a room they'd say:

AGE/SEX Check...

That was really the only conversations that ever happened in an AOL room. Someone would come in, A/S Check - everyone would list off. Rinse. Repeat.
