Internet Explorer 5.2.1 running under 10.1.5 often fails to show me all of the information on a web page even though it's finished rendering and downloading. If I move the cursor around, any link that the cursor moves over will show up and if I do a select all or command-A then everything shows up as it should. IE has done this to me with all versions of OS X and all version of Internet Explorer. Does this happen to anyone else and if so, why on earth hasn't this been fixed yet? Here are some screen shots.

Parts of the page are there but 95% is not showing up.

This is after I have moved the mouse around the screen. Links that the cursor went over show up.

Apple doesn't read these message boards. If you have a complaint or suggestion for OS X send feedback where it will do some good.

Yup, that happens. Also happens in OmniWeb from time to time but not nearly as much as IE.

This is actually a common problem with Internet Explorer. I have never seem it happen in the other browsers (Mozilla, Chimera, OmniWeb).

No, there is no fix for it.

Wait, I take that back. There is a fix for it. Use a different browser!

It's happened to me too. I used to scroll up and down with my wheel mouse, now I use Chimera instead of IE!

I have seen this happening, it doesn't happen all the time...but I do see it every once in a while. Also...has anyone seen the "not enough memory" error message yet? That is really weird. Especially on a computer that has 1GB of RAM and running OSX.

I guess all this kind of explains why I am using OmniWeb.

This is one reason why I switched to Omniweb last week. Also I got a lot of "unexpectedly quit" messages with IE. But as much as I prefer Omniweb, it too has its own list of annoying issues...Oh well nothing is perfect.

BTW I like the fact that OmniWeb's programmers often read these message boards and post replies to issues, that's cool bec it at least shows that they are doing something to address the problems.

I finally erased IE completely. I got sick of all the errors, too.

It's a bug and an irritating one at that. I bought OmniWeb the other day and so far am pleased with the substitution. Getting back to Explorer, I found that if you do a cmd-a when the page fails to completely load it will then work as it should.

I don't like command-a because it selects everything. Instead, I hit command-b twice quickly. This also forces the screen to redraw.
