Is anyone running OSX with Formac's iProRaid TV/SCSI card in the Mezzanine slot of a Rev B Bondi iMac?

Will it run in be recognized in OSX? in Classic? at all?!?

I've held-off the purchase until Retail OSX arrived...so now I'm VERY interested in the usage of the card.

I've got Formac's mezz card on a rev B, but I'm keeping osx on the DV for a few weeks shakedown.

I'm wondering if the IR port will be recognized -not that I use it, just curious.

It should since the TiPB has a IrDA port, also. PDA syncing via the IrDA port in OSX will be the big question. Anyone?

I have a Rev A and the iProRAID/TV, but OS X is not yet installed on it. I'll probably do it later today. I doubt OS X supports it out of the box. Formac would be the company to look at for support.

It most likely will be seen by the Apple System Profiler though.

So, any luck installing OSX?

(can you tell this is a persistant way of keeping the thread up to date? )

I installed on the machine. I had two kernel panics with light usage. I have no idea if it's the car or not. There are no indications that it is the card. Otherwise, no problems...of course, there's no driver for it.

When you say "light usage"...what do you use it for, TV or SCSI?
Is your "light usage" in OSX? in Classic? in full OS9 boot?

...Anxiously awaiting your report!

No, as I said, the card likely has no driver support and I don't have the right cables to connect it to anything right now. Light usage was in reference to light OS X usage, though I haven't had any kernel panics since then.

I'm just saying that there don't seem to be any conflicts with the OS and the hardware as installed.
