Why does apple not sell the "new" machines at macworld. They could make 1000 machines ahead of time, and they would sell them for sure. Whats your thoughts?

probably so they dont piss off the retailers. when i purchased my computer, i also purchased a variety of different accessories at the same time, which is good for the macmall/outpost/maczone etc...

i agree, i think they should since there are obviously not macworlds in every city, but still i am sure that some of the ny and sf retailers would be plenty pissed with the loss of sales
