Ok, it's like this. I'm starting to hate shaving on a daily basis, even though I don't want to grow the stubble out. I was watching television and I catch this commercial for women's "hair remover" foam... and even though I knew I'd rather scrape my cheeks with sandpaper than ever try that chemical burn, I started daydreaming of a life without shaving, yet without a beard. By the way, how many of you out there have facial hair going?

When you were young and your heart was an open book, you used to say "live and let live."
But if this ever changing world, in which we live in, makes you give in and cry, say "live and let die."

I've had a moustache since 1966, and in 1989 I grew a beard, which I've also had ever since. I do trim them regularly, but I can't picture myself without either one. I did shave my head clean five years ago, for about six months, but that was a lot of work to keep it shaved, so I grew my hair back, but keep it short!

I generally shave once a week (usually Mondays), because it's just a pain in the ass to do it any more often than that, and it starts to get itchy and annoying if I wait any longer. Lately I've been keeping a goatee, so there's a lot less shaving involved though.

It's a killer rabbit!

I shave every day during wrestling season but let my hair grow during all other seasons.

I hate shaving but mu ultra conservative parents make me when my beard gets "out of hand". I actually think I look better with a little facial hair compared to clean shaven. Hey, when I am 18 I will do what I want!

I've been sporting a goatee and I'll be damned if it leaves my face.

I normally shave every day but lately I've gotten lazy and done it every other day. I like a little bit of stubble.

Personally, I thought this thread would be more interesting if it were along the lines of "I'm into the Brazilian Wax".

shaving is a pain. I'm a once a week shaver pretty much. It doesn't look too bad after a week. More than that, though doesn't really work out.

I like to have a little stubble.

Do the 3 blade round electric razors give anyone else razorburn? I've never been able to use one of those properly. Is there some kind of a trick to it?

personally, i've had a goatee for about ten years now. feels naked when i shave it off which happens about once a year just out of curiousity what the skin under it looks like...

I use a Gilette Mach3 about once every 2 or 3 days. It works pretty well. I like it more than electric razors because I don't want to spend a lot of money on a good one, and the cheap ones are a pain to clean.

I feel like such a corporate whore, though, because I honestly do want the new Gilette Mach3 Turbo. But I have a bunch of cartridges stored up for my normal Mach3, so until I go through those I can't upgrade

Bah, the standard Mach 3 does just fine. An extra lubricated strip and fancy packaging doesn't justify raising what's already pretty damned expensive for razors. The only reason I put up with the price for them is that they last me long enough that it's not really an issue.

Razor? What's that?

A couple of my co-workers call me 'ZZ' after ZZ Top. Now, my beard isn't that long, but does have that nice 'biker who kills and eats barbers rather than getting a haircut' look. Kinda goes with the ponytail.

Why the beard? I just hate shaving.

Jeez. I cannot seem to escape typo this morning.

I shave every day from about the middle of April until Halloween. Then it's beard season. They're just too hot in the summer. Nothing like dusty outdoor work in July to make a beard seem like a bad idea.

Anybody else use a mug and brush? It's a great way to lather up - if you can find Burma-Shave soap. I don't think it gets as close a shave as some of the foams but with a MAch 3 you can get pretty close. it's a great thing to do while you're trying to wake up.

Smells ever so delicately of almonds and with a good single blade razor (see above) takes everything off there is to take off.

Shaved this morning due to popular demand (girlfriend complained). Face like a baby's bum now.

I love using an old-fashioned single-blade safety razor, and the mug and brush definitely look kind of cool sitting in my bathroom, too. But more often than not, I just end up swiping the face with my electric a couple of times, because I'm either to lazy or pressed for time to go through the shaving mug ritual.
