I only mention it because some people are not aware...you *can* move the TB2 icon into the menubar, or wherever you want for that matter (command-drag)...just a thought.

I know you can, it's just for some reason, it got dragged out and won't go back in. So I just left it.

Looking through these screenshots, I noticed that 10.1 moved the battery status icon to the menubar. Is the dockable battery level icon still included with 10.1?

Apple doesn't read these message boards. If you have a complaint or suggestion for OS X send feedback where it will do some good.

Here's my rather simplistic screenshot. Just iTunes, terminal, stickies, dock, etc. I like my new Aki desktop bg though. Check out my Adium icon - (the 'a')

Does anyone know how to replace the Adium icon with a new one but still have it animate? I REALLY want to replace that ugly duck but I don't know how to make a different icon animate...

Yup. In fact, I already did so with mine... whatcha need to do is control-click on Adium, then select "Show Package Contents". Open the Contents folder (if it's grayed out, that'd be a bug -- log out and back in and it should be openable), then Resources. Replace Adium.icns with another .icns file, then look for Icon_Alert.tiff, Icon_Offline.tiff, andIcon_Online.tiff and replace them with tiff files that correspond to your icon (the transparency is stored in an alpha channel called Alpha 1 -- you can create this channel in Photoshop just by Saving Selection to a new alpha channel). If this seems like too much work (and if so, I don't blame you), you can also just go grab my Adium icon set... I don't mind if you distribute it as long as you don't claim it as your own.

Preview follows...

I fixed my mac.com homepage (OUT with the cheezy "slide show") and added a new screenshot.I've been playing around with GoLive-- just beginning to learn how to build web pages.

A few of mine....

I can't decide between my three desktops. One thing I will say is that Drag Thing, Launch Bar, Window Shade, Desktop Calender and Sosumi greatly enhance the OSX experience.

How'd he do dat?
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

I got if from resexcellence orginally but made some tweeks to it myself. Also, the one I downloaded was for iTunes 1 so I just copy and pasted most of the resourses into iTunes 2. They may have updated this by now though.

That would be courtesy of Desktop Console a buggy little interface dohicky that streams the content from any log file onto your desktop, "almost-live" useful for console messages, server logs, and more.

Here's my iTools photo album featuring Studio Artist (Classic), Gnome & the Gimp (XDarwin), Entourage & Audion (Aqua), and multiple transparent docks . . .

I'm cheating. Look at the running apps in "real" dock (rightmost, & is bracketed with the Finder and Trash icons). Next to (beneath) the Finder icon is a pale blue segmented "S". That's DragThing. Those additional docks you see are served up by D.T., not Apple's Dock application.

anyway when i clicked on the "hide toolbar" button at the top right of the window
THIS HAPPENED and the scroll bars at the sides broke, it fixed itself when I resized the window.
