Lag is worse over the past few days.

I feel that I'm returning to the MW2 situation when I decided to play HC just because I couldn't get enough bullets in someone before they run across the map and stab me.

Still shitloads of people playing it though. IIRC there were nearly 200,000 playing std tdm last night.

Beats a swift kick to the head.

I really wish I had payed attention last night. I should have known better than to play with randoms. I've probably won 29 of my last 30 games.

So I think I finally figured out the flaw in the dolphin dive system. It should respect your joystick's commands rather than function off a "momentum" system. 'Course, I'm a little curious what momentum I had off climbing up a ladder, but whatever. Maybe if I remember I'll double-check it in theater.

Well the dolphin dive looks like both me and the game are at fault (you won't be able to tell too well in the video, but I ghost through a wall), so I turned it into an epic cinemtatic experience for all of you to enjoy.

YouTube - DakarZero's Accidental Dolphin Dive (A Cinematic Journey)

Seriously, this took me 15 minutes and all 10 segment slots. Enjoy.

Excellent, you should go into film editing.

Nice ending with the hero in frame as the victory quote rings in our ears. Oscar material methinks.

Jawbone got to feel what it's like rolling with a competent team for a couple hours last night. It was only 2-3 of us, but we were pretty much destroying everyone.

Going back to playing with friends and family is gonna feel like having to eat your vegetables now.

The reason this game is so ****ing evil is an hour of bad play will make you hate this game more than a weeks worth of good play will make you like it.

After a week of crushing all who oppose us (w/l moved from roughly 2.61 to 2.81; set k/d records all week from 2.32 to.2.38) last night the game decided it was time for retribution. No matter what game I was in, no matter how bad my opponents were I would die instantly to everyone (It was like everyone had stopping power; Not only did they have the upper hand on connection, they didn't need to fire many bullets, either). All my bullets went between people's legs or around their torsos. After six games without breaking 2.0 I signed off in a rage.

I can only assume the win streak came to an abrupt end.

I haven't played yet, out of fear of not making it past my win streak on MW2, 29, even if I only need to win one at this point to make it to 30. If you can bring yourself to sign on this evening I'll be on,

You will be the only thing preventing me from taking a nap tonight. Help me, Obi-wan you're my only hope.

That said, I'm taking a dive if your streak is set to surpass mine.

Grudgingly, it was saint, todd, euthyphro and I (If it wasn't for a banner week I'd never have done this). We won one game before the game fully centered it's anus over my maw.

Ouch.

Last week, two friends and I wanted to play NBA 2K11 together on PSN. My friend called me and said, "Hey, let's join up with Levi." We hung up, connected, and finally heard each other through our headsets when we joined the lobby. Then the game started and there were some issues.

I quit the game. Levi called me. Then Josh (other guy) beeped in and guided me through the process of starting a lobby correctly. We tried again, heard each other, and hung up. The game was laggy as crap, so we quit, and Levi called again since we couldn't chat over PSN. This process continued for around 15 minutes.

If PSN doesn't get party chat at some point, I'm going to kill myself.

It's the only real issue I have with PSN. I can go weeks or even months without really missing it, but one evening like the 2K11 debacle...

Do they at least have private chat? Because, you know, you could use that and a phone for the überchat.

Edit: Anyway, the real point is that PS3 really is a second class citizen to the 360. Don't know where PC gets classified; 3rd class, I guess.

I have to preface this post with this thing I actually said to fatty last night:
"I wonder what the next patch is going to break."

Well, for PS3 users, the answer is in!

From the forums:
" The new patch has brought a funny glitch if your on the right side of it....how it works is if you stab or shoot at a guys dead body right after you kill them and they spawn right away (within three seconds of death) without watching their killcam you can double kill that same guy............if you shoot them and they quick spawn you will mostly just get a hitmarker becasue they are only vulnerable for a short time after quickspawning but if you time the knife at the right time or get a good shot in on them (3 seconds is a quick spawn) you can double kill them every time."
and
"you remove all your killstreaks and pick just one, you can now get that reward x3. Say if I choose Dogs only, when I get 11 kills I will get 3 Dogs. Works with any streak."
Unbelievable.

The killstreak one is the only one I've seen mentioned in multiple places. The other one I have yet to see corroborated.

Update 1.06 is live for 360. Which I would think, means the killstreak glitch should be live as well.

Going to hop back on tonight for the first time since prestiging and crapping out after making it back to 6. I'm going to try a completely different perks system this time around.

I ran Scavenger Pro, Warlord Pro, and Ninja pretty much the entire time from prestige 1 to 2.

Looking at Hardline, Slight of Hand, and Second Chance / Hacker.

I remember hearing sek mention he was using it the other night. Still digging it, huh? Guess I'll try it out.

I forgot what they disabled in the last patch. [EDIT] I googled. Got it. Still seems useful though.

I have Hacker Pro now and I love it. Just the ability to see all enemy equipment trumps all other 3rd tier perks. Unless you are one of those pricks that uses Second Chance...

Well, that dead man's glitch is real.
YouTube - Black Ops, The Dead Mans GLitch, Discovered by Diamondbacknf26

Considering this came out on the PS3 the day before the 360 patch dropped, I wonder the **** is the point of MS cert if they let this through? 1.06 didn't fix anything game breaking on the 360, I believe.

Holy Shit!

This is, by far, one of the most potentially game-breaking glitches I've ever seen, no only in BO, but pretty much any game ever.

Not even Halo 2 had this many problems and that came out 7 years ago, christsakes Treyarch.

It certainly competes with the Javelin Glitch. Glad Black Ops players no longer have that to throw in MW2s face.

Somehow Treyarch is making this game worse at time goes on.

Someone needs to post a clutch vid of a dead man kill earning them double-dogs.

Hell, why can't Treyarch roll-back the update?

But then again, I've never seen that happen on any game. Wonder if it's a face-savng move, too difficult, or pure idiocy.
