My MacBook isn't on SL and I think it's requirement. My work internet doesn't seem to be blocking anything, and I get a different screen but the stream never loads.

Yeah. The interface looks more iPhone than Mac. Perhaps 10.7 will be getting a new UI after all, not just new scrollbars.

If they spend this much time on every iLife App I'm shutting this feed off.

I've closed it too. It looks like "Back to Mac" = two hours of iLife demos. I'll switch it back on when (if?) they get to Lion.

Are iLife demos only boring because we've been subjected to so many of them or are they just inherently boring? Me thinks there's no way to enliven what amounts to essentially a glorified projector presentation.

And yet they continue to devote hours to them...

iMovie 11 has some slick new (useful) features.
But if they don't get to Lion soon, I'm going to scream.

I think they're boring because unless it's your family or your music, no one gives a darn about it.
Sure it's a demo, but it just seems a bit dragged on.

Rather odd that the FaceTime feature is it's own app, versus an iChat upgrade...

iOS meets Mac OS X. Here we go.

- Mac App Store.
- iOS multitasking instead of current system?

Did they replace the desktop with LaunchPad? This is much more iOS than OS X.

Yeah... I'm just a tad worried that since you'll need provisioning and a developer account to use their Mac App Store (like iOS), and Apple will likely start selling all their software exclusively on the Mac, that we'll see the death of the 'old' way of downloading apps.

Also... Mac App Store on Snow Leopard this year!

Yep. Much thinner.

Also, notice that they have rebranded the iSight as a "FaceTime camera"?

Compare: $999 64GB MBA with $ 699 64GB iPad.

Let the bitching begin about lack of retina display

Only downside: no 3G option. It probably would suck battery too much.

Hmm. Looks like in 10.7, traffic lights are going vertical like in iTunes 10, and the zoom button is now a full-window mode button. HIG are going to fun to look at.
