MacosNerd is correct here. OreoCookie has a much better grasp of how OUR USERS react to duplicate threads, duplicate posts in multiple threads, and overall less-than-great net citizenship on our forums. We generally discourage multiple concurrent threads on the same subject, and the two gberz3 brought up were never concurrent-until now.
Let's please remember that the MacNN Forums are NOT like any other forums. Anywhere. We are more about real support and technical details than any forum I've ever seen (and I've been at this a while), and we (the staff) police the forums better than just about any other forums anywhere too, so the "how many people in these forums work" thing is absolutely incorrect.
