I just need a change from the amount of GTA I've been playing lately. I'm down for Thursday night. Brang it!

Semi-bad news....it appears I WILL indeed be working tomorrow morning. I'm still up for playing until around 12:00 or so but this means I'll probably miss you West-Coasters...

I guess it'll be me and Boguesy SWATing it up and maybe a few games with :maroma: and Stogie before I'm forced to hit the hay.

It's going to be retarded how rusty I'll be at this game. Since the last time I played seriously I've played Condemned 2, RSV 2, and GTA IV. My BR skillz are going to SUCK.

A last-minute decision to stay up and play some Halo 3 turned out to be exactly what I needed. Even if you other jerks stood Stogie and I up (KB and :maroma:, this means you!)

Started with Ranked SWAT and won my first three games. Even if 3/4 of my first game was spent sucking it up, I still finished positive. After that it was pure domination. SWAT Ball was won thanks to my clever baiting of opponents by dropping the ball and waiting silently with the BR for those foolish enough to come get it.

Stogie signed on and I decided to hit up the Double-XP Playlist...FFA Rockets. Of course it was a sh!t-show and of course Stogies most killed by and most killed were yours truly.

Stogie and I square off in the bowels of Blackout.

This was actually one of four pictures meant for a panorama but it turned out awful so screw it...this is all you get.

Next up was the DLC playlist. First game was Team King on Ghost Town. Absolute pwnage ensued as we dominated the other team 150-28. Stogie relied on the Shotty for his impressive +6 game while I stuck with the trusty default AR for my pwnage. Then we got Multi-Flag CTF on Avalanche. A slow 1-1 start snowballed (pun intended) into pure domination by the good guys. Notably my first shot with the sniper after the long H3 hiatus was a headshot kill from a decent distance.

Finally we decided to round off the night with Rocket Race. After a dismal start with 0 points we became emboldened to do better, which isn't hard when you score nothing. Two seconds and one third followed, Stogie drove well despite some in-opportune flips but hey....it's been a while. Of course I have yet another gorgeous shot to brag about...but I'll let the pictures do the talking.

A half-court shot in Sandtrap while Stogie pulls a wheelie 40ft in the air. In fact we dropped behind that pyramid there and all of a sudden I see the green team flipping through the air. I knew I had another gem in my hands and I hope you enjoy it.

All in all I was 100% more impressed with my gaming than I expected. Sometimes a large break from Halo can be a good thing, it has worked in the past when I got stuck at certain skill levels and last night proved I have lost little of my ability. Stogie stepped up to the plate too and put in a solid performance all around.

I have the bug again, and Halo 3 will be my default game for the foreseeable future. We need to have a real meet-up soon.

Awesome summary and pics of last night's action Sek. I'll try to post a video of your rocket race shot when I get home tonight. Chuckit, sorry I didn't see your message until I signed back on later that night. I didn't have you on my friends list. Did you get my friend request?

I still can't believe we got stood up by :maroma: & KB. You'd think game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals was on last night or something.

Sorry guys, actually game 1 of the NBA Finals was on, and since I got a new TV recently, I had a couple people show up and we watched it. Then they hung out and wanted to play GTA. Wasn't a "sexy party", but we had fun.

I'll be there next time!

I gotta to the airport in a few hours so I won't be joining you guys tonight.

However, I did manage to post a video clip of Fatty's awesome rocket shot (Yeah, I'm a week late. Whatever jerks!)

I've actually been rocking the recently released EV Nova port of EV Classic. Which is flawless and released by the Ambrosia team, such fond memories of that game.

If you like Nova you certainly need to check out Arpia2, which is just about the best add-on of ships/outfits/missions for Nova to date.

A total guilty pleasure game for me, I don't know why I like it so much, but I do.

Well i played a few rounds last night (mostly grifball) and messed around in forge with some of these "filters", although they seem dumb they can create some cool screen shots, after making a Sketch Ghost Town map (a few effects) i took a few pictures and even a bogues-o-rama

I'll look into it.

I remember back in the day I spent a ton of time on making a Star Trek port of EV: Override. I didn't get too far with the mission line, but I did have some very cool areas where I'd warp in and you'd see Jem H'Dar going apeshit on Klingons, Cardassians getting blasted by the Federation.

It's the fact that it doesn't support "Thousands" of colors.

Hmm I think there has recently been an update to Nova that allows it to run in widescreen resolution and supports millions of colors, I could be wrong, I know that when I first used Nova on my 1440x900 monitor it was cropped at the sides. Also when I would quit Nova the desktop would be all fugly (in thousands of colors) but now it doesn't do either.

I'd check out Ambrosia for an update.

It seems the problem is with the actual displays, not the drivers or graphics chip. Turns out that not only can they not do 16-bit colour (thousands) but they actually can't do 24-bit colour (millions) either because the displays themselves are only 18-bit! (6-bits per channel)
From the Ambrosia forums.

Also, since you guys are either blind or indifferent, I'm stooping low enough to plug my thread I thought you guys might have found cool but alas, no, it is awash in loneliness as is its creator.

That and the GI Joe scene (which went way too fast to appreciate) were the only funny things in the episode. That guy's voice was perfect.

Wow, had to dig for this thread.

I've noticed over the last couple of days that Bogues/:maroma:/Stogie have been H3ing it up and I want in.

Taking the day off tomorrow and gaming out all night. I know you guys usually avoid me like the plague when I'm actually able to play (kidding) but this is your invitation for some classic NN gaming. I would invite Dakar but he'll probably play GTA IV or Project Gotham instead of getting his ass kicked by Fatty. This, of course, is reverse psychology. Hopefully by taking a jab at his manhood I'll temp him to ride in my hog....that sentence was laced with so much innuendo it's about to burst.....there's another one!

If you sign on and I'm not on yet shoot me an IM (skennedy929), but chances are I'll be playing something all night until folks sign on. If folks don't then I'll continue my emulated game of Link to the Past (Bogues, you're to thank for re-invigorating my lust for this game)

That is all.

Yeah I dug out my Halo 3 last night and after dusting it off, I got my ass handed to me in the few games I played. Man I'm rusty. But I did feel the joy quickly creep back in. I'm up for some gamin, but I can't guarantee I'll be available. I've got some odd stuff going on right now that doesn't allow me to schedule my life right now.

But if you see me on, hit me up with an invite or somethin. I'll play if I can.

I haven't even had time for GTA lately. I played once in the past week and a half. I'm still lukewarm on PGR. I tried COD4 at a friend's house, and while it stirred the urge to play an FPS, I enjoyed it because the style was not Halo.

And yes, the bottom line is I'll be so rusty that it'll be an all-night sek/bogues/maroma train on my ass. Not pleasurable.

By the way, Ranked BTB still takes 25 minutes to get a team together. Why does the game fill up with players, only to restart the search? That makes maroma mad.
