I have had my PBG4 17, 1.33 for nearly a year now.

It came with 1 512mb module.

I got another stick from ramjet a month after I had it and the ram was very unstable, returned it. Got another from Crucial and have no problems since.

Well.....Here we go again!

I got two Kingmax 1GB sticks from NewEgg and they both failed on startup. I tried all kinds of configs. and they went as far as KP grey screen on desktop appearence on all, never got off the launch pad.

Have an RMA number.

So is this thing particulary finicky about what flavor ram is installed?

I see so many happy customers on here that are paying under $300 a stick, what gives??

Samsung or Hynix 1GB memory works w/o a panic. Crucial memory makes panic when it is installed in the first memory slot. But it is okay in the second memory slot with samsung/hynix memory in the first memory slot.
