I may be acquiring a Revision C 17 inch (with or without the 128 MB VRAM), and was curious if I can clone the HDD from my revision B to it successfully? Thanks for the help.

One caveat. Update the OS before the clone. If the rev B is running an older version of Panther, it might not be able to boot a rev C machine.

That is what I heard. Do you mean make sure all updates from Software Update are installed, or do you mean to install the Panther given on the restore CD of the Revision C?

Just run all of the software updates on the rev B (getting you to 10.3.5) and you should be able to clone without any issues.
