I've got a 320GB external HD that I use strictly for itunes stuff. It's currently 5GB short of being full, and I would like to replace it with a Drobo, but that needs to wait until after Christmas, me being Santa and all.

My question is this: If I take some stuff off the external drive, and stick it on the iMac drive, will iTunes continue to think it is on the external, and nothing will change with my library? I was planning on moving things I do not use much, if at all, so iTunes wouldn't be accessing, or trying to access them. Jut looking for a short term solution, thanks!

it will show them as missing, but if thats not an issue, then they will be fine once you move them back, yes.

Thanks! Didn't want to do it, and have it confused.
