Losing text after '

This is the second time I've lost large chunks of text after a '. Common in I'm, I've, etc.
Why does this appear to happen randomly?

I've never seen that one, but I do compose longer responses in BBEdit Lite rather than the reply box. In case the text gets shipped to Mongolia by mistake.
