Hey all,

There's an Apple Campus Rep position opening at my school; I've considered applying, but don't have much knowledge on the job. So..

Anyone here a rep, and have some experiences/advice about the position?

It varies by college, but the main goal of the job is to simply be the campus resource for Apple. That can mean a lot of different things, hence it varies; however, for the most that means promoting the various hardware/software Apple has to offer by setting up product tables in the Student Union, organing on-campus meetings with various Mac resources (Apple System Engineers), working closely with the local MUG (if one exists), being available to answer questions as needed from users, and from those buying computers at the campus computer store (if one exists).

It's one of those jobs where if you don't have the time to dedicate to it and do it right, then do not apply. Depending on the campus and your local Apple Executive for the region, it can be very demanding and time consuming. You definitely do not do it for the money, as it pays little, but the experience and knowledge you will learn is tremendous.

Here is an Apple link describing stuff for you as well...

Take a picture, guys, this is rare. Rickey said something coherent.
