Germany won 1:0 Good on them. They started off this tournament with absolutely nobody expecting them to win (and for most of it played that way as well). A Germany Turkey final would be interesting considering that Germany is the home to about a million or two Turks, but I think Brazil will take the cup home.

Lets all pray for the Turkeie tomorrow!

I worked one season in Hamburg some years ago (fixing asphalt in the bicycle lanes - all the blue ones) - and lots of "things" were taken to the streets in that area.
Anyway, Hamburg is a nice city.

Mein Beileid. Depending on the circumstances you could (hope you aren't blond) suddenly answer to Hakan or Murat. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> It promises to be a heavy one here in Zurich tomorrow as well as there are sizable Brazilain and Turkish minorities in the city. When the Brazilians won the other day against England the whole red light district was cut off for traffic for most of the evening.

Congratulations to Germany.

Isn't it amazing the difference a competent referee makes?

As I said before, the referee was extremely harsh on the Koreans, probably due to the scandal.

The competent referee got nothing to do with their loss. Korean team made one defensive mistake giving a big change to the Germans and they managed to seize it correctly, something that Italians and Spanish team couldn't do.

Just stop being a cry baby and enjoy the sport.

He has a reputation for being such.

It's difficult to enjoy the sport when referees have tainted the entire tournament, and the best teams were not allowed to compete on an even field.

Don't be bitter just because France was apocalyptically awful and failed to score a single goal in the tournament.

He was strict but for a change also fair.

As I said on the other thread, I absolutely agree that he was relatively fair. I wrote a small personal impression, that's all

One thing I agree is that the referee was a lot better than those two previous ones and I was quite happy with the match.
