Their songs almost all sound the same to me, but I like the sound, so they're good in my book.

I'm sort of a late adopter. I picked up Antics. It has some stand out tracks, but most of the album sort of gets muddled together. I've heard their previous album is better than Antics.
Overall, I'd say I like them. But I saw them on Letterman, and they just sounded really empty. I think the studio really helps them get their sound, and they seem to have a hard time translating that to the stage.
I'd have to say I'm a fan of the New Wave revival. Check out the Kaiser Chiefs.

First album is definitely better, and the concert (at least, the one i went to) was fantastic. Can't say whether any of their other live stuff was good.

Spin Magazine has a cover story about this month. Pretty neat. They're okay but there are better bands out there.

they came to Montral but I missed them
I've seen tons of videos from them live.... they are calm... just like most of their songs...
they're not the type to tell jokes live and stuff... they don't transform into other individuals while on tour.... it's a good thing.
top 3 best songs:
Obstacle 1 (currently learning lead guitar's part)
Stella
Take You On A Cruise
and their style is just mind blowing
on some live videos i've seen it looks like the drummer is like going to work (he has a pale blue shirt with a tie just like a ****ing CEO or something).... it's hilarious I like it.
Carlos the bassist is amazing too.
Anyway... I'd say both album are bloody amazing. They completely kick ass..
Song Seven from the EP is also very very good....
They're apparently finishing a video for "C'mere" which is a very good song...
The video for Obstacle 1 is mind blowing... seen it? The Evil one sucks, tho.

They're one of a scant few newer bands that i actually like. My gf introduced me to to them early on, and i've seen them live thrice, each time finding the cost of the ticket nearly doubling as they increased in popularity. they are extremely competent live in the sense that they don't make mistakes, and generally speaking, their songs are performed similarly to their presentation on the albums. but that, to me, isn't exactly a negative. 'Turn On the Bright Lights' is definitely the stronger of the two albums, but they're both outstanding. I don't exactly understand the incessant Joy Division comparisons, though; they actually remind me more of the Psychedelic Furs, sound-wise, obviously absent the distinctive voice of Richard Butler. If you like Interpol, you might also like British Sea Power, although their live show is almost the exact opposite of Interpol.
