I was watching Comedy Central today and saw a new mac ad that i hadn't seen before. It was an out of the box features ad. I looked on the Apple website and its not under the Get a Mac section. Is apple slow at posting new content on their site or was this ad not suppose to run?

In the commercial they had 2 cardboard boxes. 1 white, 1 brown. When they popped out they were talking about whta they were going to do first thing. The mac was talking about how he was going to edit video or video confrence. The windows was talking about how he had to install anti-virus software and uninstall trial software and do a bunch of other stuff. This could have been an "accident" just like the early release of the new Jet album on itunes is what I'm thinking.

Indeed, it is. I just watched it over on ESPN.com ironically...

Still, when are we going to see these ads in the UK? Apple UK are retards (and that's only after steady improvement over the last few years).

I see Apple is sticking with its tried and true method of giving the actual Mac product as little screen time as possible.

People who are into computer games aren't going to buy a Mac anyway.

I thought Touché was retarded... they spent half the commercial discussing when it's appropriate to say Touché.

Well, he already said that the Mac will run windows* and all your windows stuff will work**, so they had to do something for the other other 25 seconds.
*Sold seperately
**With Windows, which is sold seperately

I actually liked Touché the best of the three new ads. Sure, it gets off the topic at hand, but it's a pretty simple point: Macs can run Windows. The end. Besides, the conversation is designed to emphasize the fact that PCs have no (legal) counter to the fact that Macs do Windows too.
I still like Viruses best. I don't know why, but I still chuckle when I see the tubby guy fall down.
