Is it better to play WoW on a full screen or on a smaller screen?
I'm going to be running WoW off the 20" iMac, 256mb video card, 250gig hard drive, 2 gig ram. What are the best settings?

I have the same iMac as you - exactly. I run it fullscreen, with the following settings (pointed out to me by someone else in another thread) helping a lot:
Full Screen Glow OFF
1x multisampling
terrain distance at 1/2
making those changes improved my framerates by 2-3X.

All I know is that I use to play it on my Mac mini 1.42 ghz g4, i got 15 avg fps. I run it on my MBP 2 ghz, 256 1600 radeon card, and i get 45 fps avg with very similar settings. You wont lag anymore.

What LeeG said really, but play around with terrain details and such, you should get a nice comprimise of around 25-30FPS in regular conditions and 20ish when you're in a busy area or have a ton of AOEs going off.

oh you guys have no idea how excited I am to finally leave PC's behind.
Speaking of, i've never had a Mac of my own or spent a whole lot of time on one. Furthermore, none of my friends or family use a Mac, so is there an online tutorial or class at the apple store that I can take to familiarize myself with the Mac system?

True. But it comes awful close with my MacPro with X1900 XT
Dipped from a steady 60FPS (capped?) to 27-30 in lagforge in front of the bank. For the first time ever I had a smooth flight in and out of there though!
