Thanks for the kind comments guys!
I've changed quite a few things in the past 24hrs. I've thrown out the old speaker setup and gifted the JBL speakers to the G5. I've also pushed both Lian-Li's back by about 9" to allow for TFTs at the front...
I also swapped the 171N with the 173T on the G5, so I have 2x 173Ts here upstairs. Why? a) they are identical b) I'm planning on *maybe* going for 4x TFTs (dual on each box) sometime before 2005. In June I'll get the 3rd TFT for the box on the left, might get the 4th 'wing' later on if I 'really' need it.
173T - what do you mean by software functions? The G5 will not be using the pivot feature, it is not why I buy these TFTs XD Quality is geat, never had a problem with any Syncmaster, they are top quality, all 3 have no dead pixels!
G5 Wallpaper: Same thing on my Powerbook, got it off DeviantArt by a guy called 'Anthony Kwon' I think...
If you want I'll host it for you to grab, just let me know

wow I didn't know those were 173s... didn't look like em. I still prefer the 172s *sigh* they look sooo much cooler.
Maybe someday I'll have a setup that awesome.

seems like there should be a gallery of some sort set up for this rather than a long post. I love seeing how different people set up their rigs. Does anybody have a place to host such a gallery or what not?

Here are some pics of my set-up. The first picture is my HP psc 2175v All-in-one and my now empty bookshelf. The next two pics show my 12" PB, my Apple BT keyboard and mouse, my Dazzle media card reader, a Dell (yuck!) Optiplex GX50 taht i'm getting ready to repair for my school. Behind the PB is a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 19" monitor. Next to it is a Linksys 5 port router and a Linksys WAP11 wireless access point that is r unning off of my Comcast cable modem.

Is that an Audiophile Firewire..? I ask because I have the USB one, which is basically buggered in LAP 6.*/OSX 10.3.2 and I can exchange it for the firewire one. Just wondering how well the firewire one works...

I was searching for a stand on the net the other day and saw they were selling bent pieces of aluminum for $50. I happened to have a sheet of aluminum laying around (cost me something like $2). I took three SOBE caps wrapped them in electrical tape for each of the supports in the back. And in the front I took two winning Seria mist iTunes Caps and wrapped them in electrical tape (yes they must be winning bottle caps to work). And thats it, turned out to be a pretty cool looking stand and quite stable. Its adjustable, and seems to keep my powerbook alot cooler. Those laptop stands on the net are pretty much worthless, you can easily make something similar for alot less cash.

Peppermg,
What's up with that? A microwave, a fridge, and 2 TV's next to your computer? Do you ever get off your chair other than going to the bathroom?

Well it is a dorm room so that explains most of it. Cheap $27 microwave from walmart. A dedicated Halo TV, and one for watching actual TV. And the fridge... yes the fridge.

Ah, that explains it. Except I don't see much textbooks laying around, but I do see lots of alcohol and a xbox. Just don't send your parents those photos.
